Noreen and Nitin / Blithewold Mansion

Noreen fell in love with our videos and we fell in love with her style.  The unfortunate thing was we were already booked for the day.  However she entrusted us with her gorgeous footage, shot exquisitely, by Justine and Bianca Films.

Shannan + Adam \ Lighthouse Sound

Last may Eastern Shore photographer Kimberly Tucker hired Forever Lucky to create a commercial for her photo services.  While I didn't get to spend the day with Shannan and Adam we were lucky to spend a few hours, just enough to put this short together.

Filmmakers Wanted

Over the last 6 years, I've shot the vast majority of our wedding films and edited everything myself.  That's a lot. Something to the tune of 1500 hours of footage. Add in having twins two years ago, being a landlord as well as a few other hats I'll be wearing in the future and the plate is spills over.

The great thing about being a mostly referral business is getting to work with people we're on the same page with from day one. The one negative is our referral base is spiraling north, south and very far west.  We get requests from Virginia to Vermont every day.

Over the years we've supplemented a videographer or two based on need and I've had the great opportunity to work with some terrific filmmakers.  I could do a weekend long film festival showing just the films of our shooters.  I'm happy to say it's been due to their success they've moved on to other projects.

So, entering 2014 and looking toward 2015 we are looking to bolster our roster and expand into more areas.  Specifially we're looking for  for the following areas.

  • Washington DC Metro
  • Baltimore Metro
  • Eastern Shore/Delware (Second shooter)
  • New Jersey
  • Philadelphia
  • Connecticut / Rhode Island
We're mainly looking for lead shooters with some wedding experience.  You don't have to have fifty weddings under your belt. We'd rather hire a part time wedding shooter who shoots all sorts of other projects than someone focused on weddings.

We pay dependant on experience, but generally $75+ for Lead Shooters and $50+ for second shooters.  Since we also get requests for commercials, music videos and some other corporate work I'd love to talk to you about that as well.

We will be implementing a bonus system for 2014 and exploring some other avenues as well.  Also, if you know a great videographer who ends up working with us we have a referral bonus as well.

Please feel free to email me  Chris Rodgers jchrisrodgers@gmail.com with your basic camera setup, what editing suite you use as well as links any work.  Check out our work at foreverluckyfilms.com

Delmarva Weddings

Before moving to Southern Delaware, I never even heard of the term; Delmarva.  It's not to hard to figure out it describes portions of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

So when delmarvaweddings.com became available I snapped it up.  For more than a year I updated it too infrequently, but that's about to change.  Recently, I've been lucky to work with Jenny Roberts, a talented filmmaker and writer.  She has graciously agreed to develop the site with me and make it a top level wedding site for the region.

You can also find it on Facebook:  Delmarva Weddings

Jennifer + Darren | Mallard Island | Forever Lucky Films

Even if I didn't have twins to watch three days a week this year would rank number one.  Ninety percent of my shoots are referrals and it's very hard to turn down a referral.  So in cases I'm booked I have a few very talented people film the wedding and I handle editing duties.

Jennifer and Darren's wedding at Mallard Island Yacht Club was one such date.  Super nice couple and the photographer was Andy Todes whom I count among the best photographers to work (and get to work with him again this Saturday). Kris King handled the camera for me and sent me some pretty awesome work.  It's fun for me to experience the wedding in the edit suite, this one had a bunch of surprises that I was not expecting.  Once or two of them may have ended up in this highlight. Please enjoy.
