Merion Golf Club | Margo + Eric | Forever Lucky Films

It was torture watching the slow moving Irene approach the East Coast. With the-sky-is-falling forecasts weatherman made everyone nervous. This is going to be a bad one they said over and over. So directly in the path of this hurricane was Margo and Eric's wedding, held at the beautiful Merion Golf Club.

With the wedding held on Saturday, we hoped to avoid the brute force that would come Sunday. Margo's photographer Amanda Fales came all the way from Indiana to document the day. Check out her blog she's fun.

But contrary to the predictions, Saturday was the worst day. Merion lost power and 99.9 of everything we shot was under something waterproof. An amazing thing happens when you have two hundred of your closest friends and family with you - weather becomes a subtopic. The Wedding was the Story and everyone was there to celebrate. And they did just that. Once the power came back and the dance floor opened it did close until end. The rides home were a bit hairy for some, including me, but I just wanted to protect the precious footage we'd filmed that day.

Check out some of the highlights. I used a song from Moby to open and switched to a song from The Head and the Heart called Cats and Dogs. Great name for a song to describe the rain on that day in August.

Mallard Island | Nicole + Ted | Forever Lucky Films

With seven weddings in 17 days I haven't had the chance to update like I should be. I always tell myself I should blog everyday or at least every other day, but then I ignore that and post when I have a free moment and cup of coffee. I think I'm still a little punch drunk.

I added Nicole and Teds wedding last week as I headed out the door, but haven't posted it here. Nicole hired Forever Lucky Films at the last minute. She was going to go without a videographer but found us and changed her mind. We couldn't be happier she did. I love LBI and Mallard Island is a pretty awesome place. Although its true name is Mallard Island Yacht Club. Just try to park a Yacht there.

For Nicole and Ted's video I used Grizzly Bear's Two Weeks. Love Grizzly Bears and especially love Grizzly Bear. Check it out.

Cairnwood Wedding | Holly & Mike | Forever Lucky Films.

I've already gushed about Cairnwood this year. It's a great place to shoot and with different caterers and florists its different everytime I've shot there. None of the ceremonies have been in the same spot. Same goes with the dining areas and dance floors. So in essence you take this inspiring building and let creative people create with this rich canvas.

Steven Govel handled the photography and we rolled film for this one. Check out my take on the day, music from Lana Del Ray, Video Games.

Scotland Run | Amy + Keith | Forever Lucky Films

Amy did the research for her big day. Not only planning where the festivities would go down, she also picked out great spots for photo-ops. Andy Todes and I were grateful for she cleared the locations, a farm and abandoned garage, with their owners and for that I'm grateful. She even picked her own tune, one from Colbie Caillat . Check out the fruit of that teamwork.

New Jersey Videography | Jamie + Derek | Forever Lucky Films

We've shot a number of backyard weddings. They have been intimate affairs with close friends and families. I was expecting a similar experience when driving to the beautiful wooded village of Saddle River NJ, but when I saw the tent, equipped with glass walls, brilliant white carpeting and sofas I knew it was like none I'd filmed before.

While the ceremony was the small intimate affair, the celebration that followed was a total blow-out. I rolled film, Andy Todes documented the day with his camera.

I knew the edit for this would take me somewhere I hadn't gone before. Creating unique films is what we do and I think we've done it again.

Enjoy!
